KEEPING THINGS FROM MY SON

I always like to give my son as much hope that I can.His codefendent is supposed to get out in June.He thinks that he is getting out then also.I have not told him that the lawyer said that thier is a possibility that they won't get the same sentance even though they have the same exact charges because my son is the one who used the weapon. I don't want him to lose hope but I also don't want him to be devastated if he has to go to prison.

  • Ok Thank you, ladies for the feedback.
  • If it was my son Greg, I would tell him this because he would want to talk to the attorney himself because it is his life that is affected directly.  I sure can't tell you what to do, just what I might do.  I am very far away from his release but if it was coming close,he'd be counting the days and would be so much more devastated if it was derailed and then mad if he thought I knew and did not tell him.  He is a grown up man facing a VERY grown up situation so these things he needs to know.
