Beautiful picture. Glad he is doing so well, and taking advantage of all he can. It will better serve him when he gets out. Tell him to keep up the good work. And the bad choices our sons have made in the past do not have to define who they are or who they can be.
My son was seventeen when he went to prison. He graduated while incarcerated and was the Valedictorian this year. My son had a good education, played sports, piano classes, kid's college among other things. He made some bad choices. He said himself that being incarcerated may be the best thing for him because he is growing in mind body and soul. He is taking advantage of all that he can while he is incarcerated. Evan though he is doing well today, I continue to pray because everyday is a new day. When my son went to jail he was in high school and also taking college courses. We were beginning to look for colleges for him. Instead I was looking at prisons. YOU NEVER KNOW... At some point I began to think God for his grace and mercy because I know this situation could have been much worst. I do miss my son very much, but with all goings on out here now, I truly fell blessed that my son will have a second chance, and will be better, stronger, and wiser for what he is going through. I'm not saying that being in prison is a good place to be. I'm saying that while my son have been incarcerated I've seen how much he have grown in every way.
